Where there are children being schooled, there is often a shortage of income for families. PSE has therefore set up a system of compensation which consists in giving rice each week to families. The rice allocation reflects their children’s attendance at school, and hence the loss of income. A large part of these rice donations are provided by the UN World Food Programme.
