Where do the children come from? |
As you walk through the FCS Centre, it is difficult to imagine that these children come from the Phnom Penh municipal dump. There are so many of them, and so many are smiling! And yet, it was indeed in a municipal dump where it all began, nearly fifteen ago.

Boarding houses and foster families |

This system is aimed at protecting children who are victims of domestic violence. Currently, roughly 80 young girls benefit from this accommodation at the PSE Centre. Approximately 180 others, girls and boys, are taken in by 42 foster families, all of whom are closely followed by our welfare team. |

As for the others, they are followed by a team of social workers who monitor class-attendance both at the Centre and in all external schools, immediately check the reasons for absences, and manage family issues, working in close collaboration with local authorities. These children know the emergency number given to them by heart, and know they may call it at any time of day or night.

Schooling at the Centre For Remedial Studies |
